Guadalupe Belgrano - Bio / Contact

I am Guadalupe, a freelance illustrator with over 10 years of professional experience in picture books and illustration.

My artistic journey started at the age of fifteen with sculpting, I studied Visual Arts in Argentina's National University of Arts. In 2005 I started working on scenographic christmas settings. I started studying illustration in 2007, and since 2010 I've been teaching and working for several publishers and in personal projects.

I really enjoy learning new techniques and styles, and this has become an essential tool that gives me versatility and allows me to suit the client's needs. I usually work with acrylic paints, graphite and color pencils, sgraffito, collage, ink, watercolor, digital painting and mixed media.

In my free time, I write, read, play guitar, draw, make ceramic sculptures and utilitary-artistic objects.

Nací en 1985 en Buenos Aires, Argentina. Estudié Artes Visuales y en 2005 comencé a trabajar en la realización de ambientaciones escenográficas con objetos y personajes tallados en telgopor. En 2007 comencé a estudiar ilustración, y desde 2010 he trabajado para diferentes editoriales y en proyectos personales.

Disfruto mucho la exploración de nuevas técnicas y estilos. Porque soy bastante inquieta, y porque me gusta encontrar en mi propio estilo, diferentes lenguajes que me permitan interpretar la historia a ilustrar. Trabajo con grafito, témperas, lápices de colores, acrílico, esgrafiado, microfibras, collage y técnicas digitales.

En 2023 cursé la Diplomatura en Artes del Libro y desde 2010 brindo talleres de ilustración.

En mi tiempo libre, escribo, leo, toco la guitarra, dibujo, hago cerámica y objetos de papel maché.
