The book illustrates the song "El lagarto y la lagartija" (Lyrics by Susana Dourge de Horovitz, to the melody of a French lullaby, “Fais dodo, Colas mon petit frére”). It is an unpublished project, originally created to print on fabric. It is aimed at young children and emerged in 2015, when my daughter was one year old and I wanted to do something special for her. I wanted to incorporate a different aesthetic and rescue the song as a first approach to the books. I chose this song because it was one of my favorites when I was a child.
