Illustration created for Biblioteca Popular Madre Teresa (Buenos Aires, Argentina).
It’s a reimagined version of the character from "The Little Traveling Ant," a fable-style story written by the Uruguayan author and journalist Constancio Cecilio Vigil in 1927. The story features an anthropomorphic ant as the protagonist. For this piece, I envisioned a little northern ant who, upon opening the original book of The Little Traveling Ant, encounters characters from the story.
Technique: Digital painting.

Creating this illustration was very emotional for me, as I’ve kept this book since I was a child—it's the one I made when I was eight years old, in which I wrote a free version and illustrated the cover of "The Little Traveling Ant."
